New Beginnings and rekindling an old flame.

Hans had met up with Vars and his new boyfriend Viktor whilst in Norway. The Swede had been pleased to catch up with Vars since he hadn't spoken to any of the Hammers face to face for a long time. How long had it been? Now, Hans and his younger brother, Bjorn, were on the way to LA along with Vars and Viktor to meet up with the rest of the Hammers and to meet two other bands; Ziggy and the Spiders from Mars and the Hell's Angels, Viktor's band. It would be good to get back with other musicians after spending some much time in rehab and Hans knew he could use all the company he could get. The months and years hadn't been easy and he'd often felt lonely or isolated from society after his stay in hospital following his near death experience. He'd overdosed on painkillers and Hunter, his ex-boyfriend had found it too much and had ran.

Hans still ached for Hunter in a way, even though the spark they had together was no longer there. He still missed the man though and the soft warm touches at night. But people moved on after months apart and Hans suspected Hunter had found another man. It was to be expected and the Swede bore no ill will towards his ex lover at all. Glancing to Vars, Hans then placed a hand on the man's shoulder as he felt nerves constrict his insides at meeting Hunter once more. Bjorn giggled and poked fun a little before getting a surly glare from Viktor. The Brit punk had attitude and Hans found him a little intimidating but nothing to the point of not liking the man. If Vars loved Viktor then Hans would find a friend in the fire-loving Brit. All the bands were a family and Hans knew this more than anyone. The question regarding Bjorn though---the young man was a live wire and loved to cause chaos and trouble wherever he went. Hopefully, Hans would be able to keep his brother out of anything bad.

He hoped.

"Well, it will be nice seeing Aarne and Rik again. Hunter---I missed him."

Hans swallowed hard and wondered how the man would even react.

Hans felt like laughing a little at Billy's attempt to usher his younger brother out of the room. It was cute. The older Swede feeling some of the tears dry on his face as he wiped at it. He still had his hand attached to Hunter's knee as he moved it up to clasped the singer's hand softly.

"Kul att se dig igen, Hunter. Mitt hjärta värkte efter dig när du åkte. Den dagen på sjukhuset kändes det som om jag dog där inne."

The singer's brown eyes watering up once more at his past lover's words. Hunter had to leave because he blamed himself. For all the unwanted attention in the streets from thugs who took pleasure in beating up feminine men. Queers they called them. Weirdos and sickos. Hunter wanted Hans to be safe but all he had brought was pressure from society. At least that's what he had thought for all these years.

"Jag vill vara din vän. Även om du har en ny man nu tror jag att du är modig och en bra man."

Han's words caused the singer to pull the guitarist into a hug.

All the two did was support and listen. Neither of the younger musicians wanted to interfere with the healing. However, what was the guitarist and singer hugging soon became a group hug.

Aarne was the one that spoke up as he nestled into Hunter's back but his eyes were on Hans and how Rik had put his arms around the guitarist. "We've missed having both of you here with us."

It was true and whether that helped or not, Aarne knew it needed to be said.

"It has been painful without you, Hans. I have Gilly now but before---the gap after you left was a void of emptiness."

Hunter touching Hans on his arm, squeezing it, not letting go in fear of this being some realistic dream induced by too many glasses of red wine. The arm was real as was the company of the Hammers around them both. Hans smiled warmly and nodded. It was the same for him, even worse because he had his PTSD. He still suffered with nightmares but didn't want to tell Hunter that now.

"My band helped me through bad times."

The singer patting both Aarne and Rik on the shoulder.

Aarne and Rik sat quietly for a time, but Aarne started to wiggle, unable to sit still.

"You two should hug." Aarne whispered, innocently and meaning it platonically of course. "Like we used to when we were still kids."

Aarne thought that the contact might do them both good.

"You think we should? Maybe that's not a bad idea, Aarne. Shall we hug, Hunter? Just like old times, kära."

Hans using his loving pet name he had for the singer when they used to be together. "Dear one." The guitarist pulled the singer gently towards him with his strong arms feeling Hunter melt under his ex-lover and then grab onto Hans in a firm embrace. It felt good having the singer in his arms after such a long time and he couldn't help but sniff and feel tears well up in his own eyes. Hans, the usual stoic man, was just overcome by emotion.

"Du är vacker och kommer alltid att vara för mig, raring."

The words causing Hunter to choke up and caress the larger blond's hair.

Rik stroked Hans' back as he felt the guitarist choke up in the hug. Aarne leaned in and kissed both men on the temple and then smiled.

"We should let you two catch up." He offered but, of course, both boys would stay if the two wanted them. However, both Rik and Aarne thought they had gotten far enough that alone time might be the best for both of them.
